Terms

All prices are exclusive of VAT.
VAT is calculated on all interpreting/translating services, except for ones that are performed in direct connection with health services such as doctor's, dentist's, psychologist's and the like. -
Travel expenses, unless otherwise agreed, amount to NOK 4.50 per km. Tolls and other travel related costs will be added.

Cancellation of interpreting assignments must take place 48 hours (two working days) in advance. Assignments canceled after the deadline will be invoiced for the reserved time.

Minimum time for attendance interpreting is 2 hours.

Minimum time for telephone and screen interpreting is one hour.

Urgent orders (less than 24 hours notice) include 100% surcharge.

Guidelines
Aamot Interpreter follows guidelines from Directorate of Integration and Diversity, which has been regulated and authorized.
These include confidentiality, competence and requirements for a police-issued statement when carrying out assignments for certain authorities.
The guidelines for good interpreting practice refer among other things to the necessity of interpreter to posess sufficient interpreting expertise, act impartially, not misuse information and make sure the conditions are suitable for proper carrying out of the assignment.
About Aamot
Aamot Interpreter is a company which was established in the wake of the war in Ukraine on the 24th of February 2022, the subsequent wave of Ukrainian refugees to Norway and the need for qualified interpreting services related to the crisis.
Aamot Interpreter's primary goal is to assist municipalities in the local community in receiving and integrating Ukrainian refugees. Assignments can, for instance, be linked to school context, NAV (Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration), doctor's visits, Child-, Family- or social services etc.
Other public and private actors are also welcome to contact us.
